Today we were going to the Birkenhead Leisure Centre on the bus. After a while, we reached BLC. We moved towards a huge white ‘house’. Down the stairs we fell (not what you would call falling, but close enough) into a room with wonky, wacky walls tipped with plenty of… Climbing Rocks! How I wish I was in my bed, cuddling with my sleeping Tiger! But I knew there was no turning back now.
“Hello, welcome everyone” shouted a random man I didn’t know.
“Today we will be doing Rock climbing, High ropes and Orienteering!” he continued.
Uh-Oh. This does not sound good.
“First Amy’s tag group will go to High ropes!” He shouted again. Ohhhh no. We headed outside to a… playground?!?!?!?! ( Not really an exact playground, but a bunch of ropes and things like that.) “We’re going to do some basic climbing here! There is the net,” Maybe? “Pole,” Nope “and the floating islands, up there for the true daredevil” OF COURSE NOT, WHY!?!?!?!? I found out, from helping out, that I’m not the only one who doesn’t like heights. Same goes for, later on, rock climbing.
My highlight: Orienteering just because it was the least scary. My challenge: High ropes and Rock climbing because I thought A LOT that I was going to slip. My next steps: To keep the smiley face (from both climbing activities) the right height.
